Drake has recently released an album called More Life. But if you would like to get technical, the artist describes the project as a playlist, not an album. As a fan of Drake, I was excited to hear about his new project. But when it came time to listen, I was quite disappointed.
With collaborators such as Kanye West, Young Thug, and Travis Scott, how could this not be a collection you would love? After all, the song “Glow” is the first track Kanye and Drake have ever been on together without any other artists. My hopes were very high, but the repetitive song did not meet my expectations.
Better are the songs “Ice Melts” and “Sacrifices.” They’re my favorites from this playlist. They are collaborations with Young Thug.
I’m sure you have heard people say, “I miss the old Drake.” Some of you may even think it as well. Drake has not been delivering lately. His most recent album, Views, was nothing compared to his previous albums, such as Take Care and Nothing Was the Same. The rapper has become almost a completely different artist.
Many people fell in love with the soft, romantic Drake. Now he has turned into almost every other mainstream artist, talking about money and women. His sound has changed drastically over the past couple of years. He went from pop to reggae with this project, which a lot of people actually enjoy.
I prefer the pop Drake, but that is just me. Everyone has their own preference in music, but most of the songs on More Life aren’t mine.
