There are many unique clubs Bullard has to offer, one of which is Asian Club. The goal of the club is to educate students on a variety of Asian cultures. The club president Zena Vue answered some questions about what the upcoming year holds for the club.

Q: “What do you do in Asian Club?”

A: “We have lots of potlucks, promote Asian culture, try to create a place where everybody can feel like they trust each other, unify Asian ethnicities, and provide a place to hang out for Asians if they feel lost under the unity of the Golden Dragon.”

Q: “Does one club hold the potluck every year, or does it rotate between the different clubs at other schools?”

A: “Every year a different club holds it and the other clubs bring things to eat or drink.”

Q: “What do you do at the potluck?”

A: “Normally the club that holds the potluck sets up games to play and some people can bring nets and a volleyball or football flags and a football so they can play sports.”

Q: “Is there going to be any fundraising this year?”

A: “Yes, we are planning on fundraising.”

Q: “What are you going to sell?”

A: “We’re thinking about selling candy again, because last year we fund raised with Pocky candy.”

Q: “Is Asian Club planning to go on any trips?”

A: “I’m thinking that if we fund raise enough this year, maybe during the summer we’ll have a trip to the beach or something.”

Q: “Is Asian Club going to go on any trip during the school year?”

A: “It depends if we fund raise enough money and if we find somewhere to go that’s educational and has to do with Asian culture.”

Q: “Are you guys going to have any after-school activities?”

A: “We’re not sure yet. We still have to talk to Mrs. Ervin, but maybe for KPop Club.”

Q: “What is KPop Club?”

A: “KPop Club was a club that we started last year that was about Korean pop music and we had after-school activities too. We decided to combine it with Asian Club.”

Q: “Is Asian club going to be any different this year?”

  A: “It’s a work in progress!”
