Mr. Haskins is a returning teacher to Bullard. He previously taught here but left to go teach around the world. Mr. Haskins has a range of different hobbies and different activities he enjoys to do in his free time. He is even one of the running coaches for the track team.
Q. How long have you been teaching?
A. I have been teaching for 10 years.
Q. What courses are you currently teaching?
A. I am teaching English for 10th and 11th grade.
Q. How do you like it here at Bullard so far?
A. I love it here. I get along very well with the students.
Q. What made you decide to teach?
A. Fell in love with literature in college. I want to teach people all around the world.
Q. What is your favorite course to teach?
A. English for 11th-graders.
Q. Where did you go to college?
A. Fresno Pacific. I liked it there a lot.
Q. What was your dream job as a child?
A. Probably to be a race car driver.
Q. What do you do in your free time?
A. I like to rock climb, ride motorcycles, garden – and I’m also the track coach.
Q. What is your advice for students who are thinking about going into teaching?
A. Volunteer, definitely. I did when I was younger, and I can see now how much it helped me.
Q. What is your favorite place on earth?
A. Spain. I love everything about it. Very cool place.
Q. What is your favorite food?
A. Carne asada tacos!
Q. What is your favorite sports team?
A. The Trailblazers, because I am from Portland.
Q. Favorite movie?
A. Sling Blade or Fight Club.
