Do you know what kings cake is? Geraldine Pizzaro president of the French club is here to inform us about what a kings cake is all about as well as the French club.

Q: What made you want to join French club?

A: I joined French club because I’m already taking the French class and I thought it would be fun to learn about the culture.

Q: What do you enjoy most about French club?

A: Not only do I enjoy the culture but I enjoy the different groups of people in the club, we all get along and it makes everything a better experience.

Q: How will French club effect your future?

A: French club won’t have a huge effect in my future but it will help me become more informed.

Q: How is kings cake different from a birthday cake?

A: Kings cake is a celebration only through the month of January, it’s to celebrate an epiphany and everyone can participate. A birthday cake can be celebrated any time of the year, any day, and only the birthday girl/boy feels special that day. Any person who wins the lucky charm can feel special that day.

Q :What is the epiphany?

A: The epiphany is the celebrating of baby Jesus when he was pronounced to the three kings.

Q: What other events is French club doing?

A:We are making crepes in the month of February. During March we will be taking a field trip down to Boulangerie in Fig Garden Village. If we have time we will go cheese tasting by the end of the year.

Q : Why be involved in French club, what good does it do?

A : I’m in French club just for the fun of it, I’m the president so it looks good for college.
