The Sweet 16 is here and there are 16 teams left that are trying to complete their dream as they try to win the 2015 National Championship.
The first Thursday match-up is Notre Dame vs. Wichita State. In this match-up, look for guard play as Fred Van Vleet and Jerian Grant square off in a battle of two of the best guards in the country.
The second matchup will feature Wisconsin vs. North Carolina. In this match-up, look for a battle on the front-court as Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker take on Bryce Johnson and Kennedy Meeks, who is less than 100%, which will have a huge impact on the game.
In the third match-up, there will be undefeated Kentucky vs. West Virignia. Kentucky is clearly one of the best teams in college basketball history, but they go up against a Mountaineer team who does the full-court press on every play make or miss.
In the last Thursday match-up, Arizona will take on Xavier. Xavier needs a great game from Matt Stainbrook if they want a chance against Arizona who has star power with T.J McConnell, Stanley Johnson, and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
In the Friday games, the first match-up will be Gonzaga vs. UCLA. Everybody was shocked to see UCLA get into the tournament, but in the first two games they have proved why they should have been in the tournament. However, they have to go against a very experienced Gonzaga team led by Kevin Pangos and Kyle Wiltjer.
In the second match-up, Louisville will go up against NC State. Louisville is led by Montrezl Harrell and they’re going to need a big offensive game from him if they want to beat a high powered NC State team led by Trevor Lacey.
The third match-up will be Duke against Utah. Utah is led by Delon Wright who is a candiate for Pac-12 player of the year, but the whole Duke roster could all be candidates for player of the year, as they are led by beast center Jahill Okafor and Tyus Jones and Quinn Cook, who has been playing out of his mind lately.
The last match-up will be Oklahoma vs. Michigan State. Oklahoma is another one of those high powered offensive teams led by Buddy Hield, who needs to have a good game as they face a tough Michigan Tate team who is hard to play against in March.
It should be a great sweet 16; I personally cant wait for it!
