After placing fifth in nationals, Bullard High School’s Competition Cheer team brought home the first-place trophy at the Jamz competition in Stockton last weekend.

This was the team’s last competition of the year. The cheerleaders worked extremely hard to get where they are. After giving up a great deal of their free time, they are able to show off everything they’ve accomplished.

Junior and team member Acesalley Robledo was excited about the victory.

“I’m just really proud of my team,” she said. “We’ve all come together and worked hard. We ended the season on a great note, and I couldn’t be happier.”

Cheer coach Ms. Geraci congratulated her team for all its sacrifices in an e-mail earlier this week.

“Our kids have given up vacations with their families, outings and activities with their friends, declined numerous invitations, put their lives on hold to get to our victories!” she wrote.
