Song/Pep and Cheer Tryouts

Though out this year we have had an amazing season whether it’s in football or basketball, but have you ever considered who’s cheering them to victory on the sideline?

Our Bullard Song/Pep and Cheer team plays an amazing part in supporting the athletic program through leading the crowd at seasonal games, events, rallies and many more fun events to help show school spirit.

Our 2024-2025 season is approaching in the next couple of days which consist of three days’ worth of tryouts starting on April 30th – May 2nd. The Teams you can try out consist of Song/Pep which focuses on dance techniques that are in the gene jazz, ballet, jumps and tumbling being optional and Cheer focusing on jumps, stunting, dancing and tumbling being optional.

To be eligible to tryout out you need the Spirt Agreement, Handbook Contract, Code of Conduct, a 4×6 Headshot with your name on the back, and a GPA (grade point average) of a 2.00. To get all this information feel free to ask our wonderful Song/Pep and Cheer director Cassandra Dalena who also teaches Exploration Dance P.E.

But that doesn’t end there you can also tryout for these sports to, our Bullard spirt program participates in other styles of cheerleading which can be named as Competition cheer which is a traveling team that competes against other schools in the valley to show off 4 main elements jumps, stunting, dancing and performance. Stunt the sport is a California Interscholastic Federation also known as CIF in which two teams compete against each other to show stunting skills and levels can range from high school to college.

To summarize this all up Our Song/Pep and Cheer program is a fun learning environment that helps build bonds between the teammates, leadership skills and sportsmanship.
