Everyone knows about winter formal; it’s the first dance that requires you to look nice and to get all dressed up. Typically, girls wore beautiful dresses and guys wore stunning suits– and let me tell you, everyone looked amazing. The dance was held on December 2nd at the Fresno Convention Center.

Of course, the entry into the dance is not only a ticket and your school ID, but also a walk through the metal detector for our safety. Once you walk inside you see the beautiful set up. Tables surrounded the room, and music was playing while everyone slowly started to fill in the empty spaces on the dance floor.

Once all the ballots for formal court were in, the music stopped, the dance floor went empty, and the court was announced. The queen is now Melanie Nutting with her king, Jacob Newman. Everyone seemed to have a good time– people were smiling, dancing, and most of all laughing. It was the best ‘knight’ under the stars of Paris.
