Mrs. Desiree Fraker has been a counselor for freshmen and juniors since January. She said she’s enjoying the students and the campus during her first weeks working at Bullard High.

Q: How long have you been counseling?

A: “Two and a half as a substitute counselor and 5 years as a part-time counselor.”

Q: What was the most surprising thing about starting to work at Bullard High?

A: “The courtroom and the structure of the campus! It’s beautiful.”

Q: Where are you from?

A: “I was born and raised in Madera, California.”

Q: What’s your favorite thing about going home from work?

A: “I love to take my 5 pound spunky Yorkshire terrier for walks or runs with my husband around our farm.  She’s a 5 pound ball of energy who enjoys a good run.”

Q: What’s something Bullard students wouldn’t know about you?

A: “I played the clarinet and was in band from 4th grade to 12th grade.”

Q: What do you hope to bring to the Bullard Campus?

A: “I hope to be an additional person students can trust, and an advocate for all students.”

Q: What values do you hope to express to your students?

A: “I hope to express the importance of having a solid foundation in education, positive study habits, trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, and citizenship.”

Q: What makes your personal experience at Bullard great?

A: “I get to work with amazing students and an awesome staff! This alone is a recipe for making my experience at Bullard great. It doesn’t get much better than that!”
