On November 10th, Bullard went against the Sanger High’s varsity football team for the first round of playoffs. If you didn’t go to the game, then you missed out on one of the best victories of Bullard’s football season this year.

During the first half of the game that was held at the Bullard’s home stadium, McLane, our team was trying to fight their way back up the scoreboard. Unfortunately, it didn’t go that way. When half time came, the score read 0-14, and Bullard was losing by two touchdowns. Once the crowd had seen the difference in the scores, some lost faith in our team and left. But once halftime was over and third quarter started the varsity players noticed the stands emptying causing them to play harder for the second half.

Once third quarter started, the players showed how much they wanted to win by playing harder, especially when they heard how loud Sanger’s student section was compared to Bullard’s.

Once fourth quarter came around, Sanger’s players knew they had actual competition. Bullard was on their way to victory when we got all caught up and the scoreboard showed a tie between the two teams. Our team had hope and it came in handy when Sanger fumbled and Bullard was able to receive it, ending the game with the winning touchdown for Bullard.

The next time our varsity players will play is on November 17th against Central’s varsity team. Hopefully we can pull through with another win.
