Around the end of November, a Christmas tree was handmade by the library staff and some helpful students of Bullard High. This special “tree” was inspired by the Christmas season and some DIYs on the Internet. This tree, is entirely made out of books! You may have seen some weird trees in the past made out of blocks, or lights, maybe even cans! But Bullard’s “tree”, is made out of 3 stacks of different textbooks, consisting of Biology, German, Math, and some novels. Most of these books add the Christmas green color.

When students see this tree, their initial reaction is to knock it down, but the librarians thought of that. Placing a book cart in the middle helps greatly making this 6 feet stack off books firm and steady.

Students are even allowed to bring their own Christmas ornaments from home and help make this tree even more special. Students have helped out and printed some designs and placed them on the tree, along with some other ornaments like ribbons wrapped around the books.

The 3 hour process of making this tree come to life was 100 percent worth it. It definitely helps make Bullard seem like home and it helps spread the Christmas spirit.
