It’s no secret that there are crazy drivers across the country. You automatically take a risk every time you get behind the wheel. A recent study from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) showed that Fresno is currently ranked the 12th worst driving city in the country based off of ticket traffic. Typically, police officers write up to one million tickets each year. These tickets normally consist of speeding tickets, DUI’S, citations, and other accidents.

A big issue that leads to accidents is drunk driving. According to FOX 26 News, Fresno is ranked number 25 of highest drivers with a DUI. Although Fresno is still ranked high on the chart, other cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Bakersfield have a lot more drivers with DUI arrests. The CHP had also detected that there are at least 400 collisions every month in Fresno. Due to these collisions, traffic is delayed, and many drivers on the road are late to work or school. Fresno’s highway engineers are working hard on our roads to create a much smoother, less bumpy surface, and our officers are making intersections a lot safer in order to reduce the amount of accidents we. It’s important to always be very cautious and pay attention to your surroundings when driving a vehicle.  Driving anywhere is always a risk, but by taking the necessary precautions to be safe, we can stay safe.
