You would be surprised by how many people are making an effort to better our community. I recently attended a meeting in room S32 for the Building a Better Community club(BBC). BBC helps our city by cleaning up trash around the community and the members even take trips to clean up local places!

I was definitely moved; I did not know that there was a club like that at our school! It’s great to see other people wanting to help. Helping out the community is the first step to changing the entire world, and that’s what the meetings are about. The club members talked about going to educate kids from other countries, which is actually one of the things that I want to do in my lifetime. This week, BBC had a quest speaker from the Congo to speak to us about what it’s like to educate other children outside of the country. Giving the children of the future that can’t get the education we get is benefiting all of us.

You can be a part of the movement! There are plenty of clubs that help out the community, but it doesn’t hurt to be a part of another club that helps out the planet you live on. I would have signed up for this club if I had known about it earlier!
