You may hear all this great stuff about the varsity softball team at Bullard. What you don’t here is how good of a season the frosh softball team is having too. Talking with some of the frosh softball girls, I discovered that they have fun without the stress of scouts constantly watching their every move.

I talked to one of the captains, Laila Chantharangma, who likes being on frosh because it’s laid back. She feels like varsity would be “all work and no play.” Where as the frosh girls get to have tons of fun and still get work done. “I feel like we are overlooked most of the time,” says Chantharangma.

Delaney Martin thinks that frosh should get more attention because of the season they’re having so far with only one loss and four wins. “Even though we are having a better season than varsity they still get all the attention.”

Most of the frosh girls feel like it’s going to be a really great season. Without all the pressure and the worries, they can just play. Varsity might get all the attention, but at least the players know they’re a great team.
