Our very own Lady Knights Water Polo team played in a well fought game against the  Hoover Patriots, here at Bullard. This game turned into an epic victory for our Girls Varsity team. On Wednesday, September 5th, the Girls Varsity Water Polo team had yet another astounding win against a great team.

The final score being 15-2, Ryann Jansen, as well as Kate Hancock, lead the team on offense to a great victory. Ryann Jansen, our best shooter, was able to score many goals with the help of the other girls in the pool. On defense, Taylor Morgan and Lindsey Scott led the team as our goalies. Both ladies blocked many well taken shots from the opposing team. When our water polo teams play, the crowd has so much energy and enthusiasm, it encourages the team and drives them to success, which is what happened this game!

Our starting goalie, as well as an All-American Water Polo player, Taylor Morgan, was asked what she has learned from being on this team. She responded with, “I’ve learned that effort and encouragement are equally important to the success of the team. If everyone puts their best foot forward in their efforts, as well as encouraging others, it brings you closer together and makes a team more cohesive. A lot of times success is measured in the friendships you form as much as anything else.” The effort these girls are putting in tremendous amounts of effort when playing in each game, from the goals made, the blocks from the goalie, the steals. All this work is paying off for our girls’ water polo team.
