Seniors have worked hard to get to where they are now. Senior night was the last game of the regular season, the girls took on Sanger. They unfortunately lost, but they overall fought hard, Bullard won one set out of the 4 that were played. There are 5 seniors in the Bullard Knights volleyball program this year, Katie McCormick, Haley Getz, Jenna Markarian, Kara Guzmán, and My’Nita Gresham.

All five of these seniors have worked hard in school and at practice to keep a spot on the team. Haley has been playing volleyball for seven years, she has played on varsity for two. She wants to attend Texas A&M,” I don’t plan on playing in college, instead making a career on biomedical engineering.” Haley has been surrounded by sports around her whole life and is not sure if she’s ready to let it go yet.

The girls have worked hard this season getting ready for their first game of playoffs. Jenna has been playing volleyball for eight years, she has played on varsity for two years. She wants to attend a UC school for college. This is the last season for the seniors as a knight, Jenna said, “it is a supper bitter sweet transition. I’ve been playing sport competitively for 13 years of my life. I’m going to miss volleyball so much. But it’s going to be a new chapter in my life without volleyball.”

Haley Getz is getting ready to serve the ball. The set was tied, the girls were trying to get this point to take the lead.

My’Nita Gresham is getting ready to hit. As My’Nita did her approach, she swung at the ball and got a kill.
