Recently, people– mostly parents– have been going crazy over Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy wearing heels to the 2018 Grammy Awards. The public seems to be very negative towards Blue Ivy wearing heels because heels supposedly symbolize womanhood, according to the people who are pressed about this so-called “issue.”

The shoes themselves seem pretty age-appropriate for a 6 year old. They are sparkly and the heel isn’t even very high. Additionally, Blue Ivy is Beyoncé’s daughter, which means that most of the time she is around people that wear very extravagant clothing almost everywhere (especially to fancy events like award shows). So people shouldn’t be trying to put her down for wearing little heels.

When asked for their opinion on Blue Ivy’s shoes, Bullard student Skye Torok said, “I think the shoes are age- appropriate. And she was going to the Grammy Awards, so the heels should be fine.”

The public have voiced negative opinions on the topic, calling her a “spoiled child” as well as saying things like “She should act her age!” or “What are her parents doing?” and more. But there were also some very positive comments to counter the negativity, like “Blue Ivy is taking over the world!” and “She is slaying the game!

Honestly, I don’t know why Blue Ivy wearing heels to the 2018 Grammy Awards is considered controversial because  it shouldn’t be. She should be able to wear what she wants. She is a 6 year old that wants to wear heels and people shouldn’t have a problem with that.
