Lauren Meador is a new teacher at Bullard Highschool who is now teaching English to 11th grade students. Ms. Meador arrived to Bullard last semester, but became an official teacher in January.

Q: Where did you grow up?

A: “I grew up in Fresno County.”

Q: Where did you attend college?

A: “I went to Cal State Fullerton and San Diego State, then I graduated from Fresno State.”

Q: What was it that you studied in college?

A: “I studied English education.”

Q: Were there any clubs or sports that you did throughout your school years?

A: “I never really joined any clubs, but I did grow up playing volleyball.”

Q: When did you decide you wanted to be a teacher?

A: “I decided to be a teacher actually at a pretty young age, which was when I was in kindergarten. I wanted it to be elementary at first, but changed my mind in college.”

Q: What is the most important thing in making your teaching experience good?

A: “I would say to try to connect to all my students and make sure I’m doing what I need to do for them.”
