Bullard student Nicole Goyette and former BHS student Alina Loucks organized a fundraiser for campus safety officer Brian Merzoian who tragically lost his home in the Creek Fire. Merozian, a friendly face with a generous heart towards his students, had to evacuate his home, taking only the resources that would fit in the back of his car. The goal for the fundraiser was $5,000, and with help from the Bullard community over $9,000 have been raised. Brian extended his gratitude to the Bullard community stating how grateful he is to those who donated. The donations will help him replace some of the items he lost in the fire. “I am so moved by the outpouring of love and support from the Bullard community, and my work family has been so amazing that I know I wouldn’t be in the wonderful spirits I am today without you all.” The GoFundMe page isn’t going anywhere soon.
