“The Diary of Anne Frank” Theatre Review

“The Diary of Anne Frank” Theatre Review

The month of February provided us with the opportunity to see the play “The Diary of Anne Frank”, which took place from the 8th-17th. “The Diary of Anne Frank” takes place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, during World War II. It primarily focuses on the time Anne and her family spent hiding in a secret annex above her father’s office. The play beautifully captures the atmosphere and emotions of that period. It is worth watching if you are interested in historical events or in the powerful story of Anne’s experiences during World War II. As, I attended the play on February 19th, I was instantly drawn to the scenery as their surroundings, such as the background and props, truly made the play feel real and in the moment.  In addition, their acting was quite amazing, with emotion that was carried throughout the play persistently and effectively. It seemed as if they developed a deep connection within their character, based off their amusing and emotional live performance. I am truly impressed with their skills and everyone who contributed to the creation of the play, I am looking forward to many more plays in the future.
